THANK YOU to all those who supported me during this election. Even though I was not able to claim victory for myself, I am excited about the fact that several incumbents were unseated as a result of this election. I believe the purpose of elected offices is to change the officeholders on a regular basis, and change for the SISD Board of Trustees is long overdue. I am optimistic about the future and hope to enter more electoral races in the future. I hope I can continue to count with your support in the future and I also hope to see you on the next campaign trail!

After years of seeing misstep after misstep as a student in SISD, Derek Hernandez is now running for Trustee At-Large to become a part of such decisions.
